• Determine the primary qualification and experience requisite for registration medical and dental practitioners in The Gambia.
  • Register medical and dental practitioners.
  • Promote standards of professional conduct among medical and dental practitioners.
  • Advise the Hon. Minister of Health on matters relating to the practice of medicine and dentistry, and on any matter referred to it.
  • Address all matters relating to discipline and breaches of professional conduct of persons registered under this Act.
