The Council is responsible for regulating the profession and practice of medicine and dentistry. The Council is responsible for:
(a) Determining the primary qualification and experience requisite for registration of medical and dental practitioners:
(b) Registering medical and dental practitioners:
(c) Promoting standards of professional conduct among medical and dental practitioners:
(d) Advising the Minister on matters relating to the practice of medicine and dentistry: and
(e) All matters relating to discipline and breaches of professional conduct of persons registered under the MDPA Act 1988.
The Council shall also advise the Minister on any matter referred to it.
